My Favorite Mac And Cheese Recipes (Traditional and Lactose-Free)

Most people think that it's hard to eat healthily during the holidays, but I think quite the opposite. There are healthy alternatives for every meal.


Today I am going to share with you my favorite mac and cheese recipe that is not only delicious but healthy at the same time.

Traditional Mac And Cheese Recipe:

Traditional Mac And Cheese Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 8 to 10 ounces of elbow macaroni

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporate milk

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1½ teaspoons pepper

  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1 pound Velveeta, cut into small chunks

  • 8 ounces cut into small chunks Sharp Cheddar Cheese

  • 8 ounces cut into small chunks Mild Cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded Mild cheddar cheese



Cooking Instructions:

  • Bring a large pot of water to boil and (then salt generously or use two chicken bouillon cubes). Cook macaroni just shy of package directions. Drain well and place aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Use a 13x9 Pyrex pan or 2 quarts round Pyrex Casserole Bowl: Layer noodles, butter, Velveeta, and cubed sharp & cheddar cheeses. Top evenly with shredded mild cheddar.

  • Bake with foil cover for 35 to 40 minutes Then uncover and complete baking until bubbly and lightly browned on top. 

  • Enjoy with your family!!!

  • 4 cups of unsweetened almond milk 

  • Spray oil 

  • Macaroni elbows 

  • 1 egg 

  • Salt 

  • Pepper 

  • 3 servings of earth balance butter 

  • Cabot extra sharp cheddar cheese lactose-free 

  • 16oz total




Cooking Instructions:


  • Bring a large pot of water to boil and (then salt generously or use 2 chicken bouillon cubes). Cook macaroni just shy of package directions. Drain well and place aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  •  Use a 13x9 Pyrex pan or 2 quarts round Pyrex Casserole Bowl: Layer noodles, butter, and 8oz of cubed cheese, Top evenly with 8oz of Cabot shredded.
